Common questions
Do you weld structural steel to code?
Yes. Structural work is welded to the applicable code for the project and the jurisdiction. Where an inspection is required, we coordinate with your inspector and the engineer of record.
Can you weld structural steel on an occupied site?
Usually. Hot work on an occupied building needs planning — fire watch, screening and scheduling around the occupants. Tell us the constraints when you call and we will tell you what is workable.
Do I need an engineer before you start?
For anything carrying load, you need stamped drawings. We weld to the engineer's detail; we do not design the structure. If you do not have drawings yet, we can tell you what the engineer will need to see.
